What do you like most about being a member here at Bravado Jiu-Jitsu?
The high skill of BJJ that the instructor knew, and the way he taught us made it look so simple and easy! Also, the absence of aggression; everyone's friendly, down to earth, people I can rely on.
..... Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is such an exquisite martial art. It teaches little guys like me to properly defend myself from bigger threats...I enjoyed training so much.

What do you like most about being a member here at Bravado Jiu-Jitsu?
What I like the most about being a member is to see how members progress in a short time. The teacher does a good job in explaining the technique and gives you time to perfect the technique and is always there watching you. Another thing I like about Bravado is that it is a tight-nit family. We all help each other.
I searched other jiu-jitsu places and as soon as I walked in to Bravado I knew this was the place for me. The atmosphere was calm and exciting The only thing left to do was sign up.

How would you describe your training at our Academy to your friends?
I recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu, and Bravado especially, to all my friends and contacts, specifically for these reasons: It is an excellent means of self defense. It is an amazing workout (nothing like it!). And it is especially a blast having fun training with a great bunch of people! Very happy to be part of an academy that is filled with so much knowledge (from the top down), a community that is built around helping each other out, and with no ego's around to tarnish the experience!

What do you like most about being a member here at Bravado Jiu-Jitsu?
The people. There are no egos and everybody helps each other. I have been in 6 different clubs and Bravado is second to none with how the members treat each other with respect. Everybody helps each other and how everybody has fun and laughs is a great change from my past experiences.
In what ways has training in the martial arts affected your life?
There are plenty of things in my life that martial arts affected my life. Stress and weight management have been greatly affected. In the past 13 months I have lost over 30 pounds and I haven't felt this good stress wise in years.
What are your reasons for taking the martial arts?
To push myself to limits that I thought are impossiple. Also while growing up I was bullied and belittled in that I couldn't do stuff like get a Black belt. Growing up with a genetic disorder called Crouzone's syndrome has cause low self esteem due to the cruelty of kids. With my children having the same affliction I want to be a good role model in that the desease not define who you are.
What convinced you that this was the right place for you?
The instructors. In other clubs there was favourtism or caring more about making money then teaching. Bravado cares more about what the students learn and ensuring they are enjoying what they learn.
I am proud to be involved with Bravado.

What do you like most about being a member here at Bravado Jiu-Jitsu?
In my opinion, you are one of the best teachers Canada has. You live and breath jiu jitsu, not only the martial aspect of it, but also its philosophy of life. You have immense knowledge of technical precision and a skill to pass that on to students. You care about the well-being of each of your students, by name. You lead a great team by example. I am proud to learn under you.
Bravado also is filled with people, from white belts to virtually every blue belt, to instructors like Tony, who leave their egos at the door and focus on welcoming, instructing and refining students like myself. I consider myself lucky to have so many top-rate "teachers" at every class. I want the art/science of jiu jitsu and its philosophy to be one of the things that defines me. I'd love to see myself, in 20 years, as a medical doctor with a BJJ black belt, teaching it part-time. There is no better professor and Academy that I could see myself achieving that goal with than yourself and the Bravado team.
