If you’re looking for a great cardio workout and some top-notch striking technique, the Thai-kickboxing program at Bravado is the right place for you. The Thai-Kickboxing program will teach you the fundamentals of the sport, including footwork, punches, kicks, and knees. The techniques taught in the Thai- Kickboxing program are real fighting techniques! Learn the elements of Thai-Kickboxing boxing while you build strength, lose weight, tone up and gain endurance.
For students who have not previously trained in Muay Thai, also known as the “Art of 8 Limbs,” our program will thoroughly introduce its most important elements. You’ll learn how to properly position your hands, shift your weight, and most importantly, how to strike effectively using your fists, elbows, shins, and knees. During classes you will spend time on the heavy bags, a time-tested training tool in combat sports as well as being partnered with students using Thai pads. Heavy bags allow students to develop striking power and technique, while using their footwork and motion. Watch all the top fighters in the world, and you will always see them incorporate the heavy bag in to their weekly training routine.
Our Thai-Kickboxing classes will challenge you to push yourself, and they are sure to get your heart rate up! As you advance and have a solid working knowledge of the fundamentals, you will start drilling more advanced techniques, and building up a competitive striking game.
Why Study at Bravado?
At Bravado Jiu-Jitsu, our Thai-kickboxing program is more than a fitness class. And while we do emphasize the cardio element, it is paramount to our instructors to teach proper, applicable technique. Instead of throwing your punches and kicks into empty space, you will practice your combinations on the heavy bags & Thai Pads. Most classes also include a period of supervised partner work, when you’ll drill the techniques you’ve learned with a partner as your instructor gives you feedback. Safety is our priority. Our instructors will make sure you are executing each strike correctly, teaching you to control your movements. When you learn from the best, you will become the best!
